Restoration

Martin Johnson, founder of M. S. Johnson Engineering, has been working on vintage tractors and machinery from a very young age, repainting his first tractor at 11 years old, which was his grandfather's Alice Chalmers crawler. Over the years, he has worked on hundreds of vintage/classic/steam tractors, as well as stationary/portable engines, dating from 1893 through to the present day. Over the years, many of his examples have received accolades throughout the UK and Europe. Martin has also been invited to speak on this very subject, as well as delivering live public commentary at shows and he has had the honour of judging up and down the country. The company has extensive workshop facilities, which allows us to cast, mill and turn, so we can replace worn or missing parts if they can no longer be sourced. We also offer a discrete service for private collectors or organisations.
